Vaudit Secures $7.3 Million from Adtech Experts to Introduce AI-Driven Auditing Platform for Digital Advertising Expenditures

All Previous Investors Participated in Oversubscribed Round, New Investors Added, Vaudit Names Piotr Korzeniowski Chief Operating Officer

SAN FRANCISCO — Vaudit, previously known as BlokID, has successfully closed a significant $7.3 million seed funding round. This financing was spearheaded by Mucker Capital, with notable participation from other esteemed investors such as AVV, AppWorks, Plug and Play, and Kyber Knight. Among the prominent investors are Omar Hamoui from Mucker Capital, the founder of AdMob—a mobile advertising platform that Google acquired for $750 million—and Binh Tran from AVV, who co-founded Klout, a social media analytics company acquired by Lithium Technologies for $200 million. In conjunction with an earlier pre-seed round, where $1.25 million was raised, Vaudit’s cumulative funding now stands at $8.5 million.

Vaudit raises $7.3 million in seed funding led by adtech veterans, monitors ad campaigns to reduce ad waste

Vaudit serves as a real-time AI audit engine that continuously monitors advertising efforts, detecting billing discrepancies while generating legally actionable audit evidence. This invaluable tool empowers businesses to recover funds lost due to ineffective ad spending. As advertisers navigate a landscape increasingly focused on budget justification and efficiency maximization, Vaudit equips them with the capabilities to identify overcharges, flag unnecessary expenditures, and secure refunds, all backed by documentation suited for review by finance and legal teams. Alarmingly, ad fraud losses have hit $28.6 billion in the U.S. over the last year.

Currently boasting over 1,000 customers worldwide, Vaudit has audited more than 558 million advertising events. Since its launch at the end of last year, Vaudit is now responsible for overseeing over $150 million in annualized ad expenditure. In specific instances, the platform has identified monthly overcharges reaching up to 30% when aligned with the traffic for which clients were billed. The company works closely with channel partners looking to amplify their value for clients routinely engaged in ad campaigns. Additionally, they support significant consumer and enterprise brands, including Accenture, HP, Huawei, Husqvarna, Marmot, Panasonic, RE/MAX, SAP, and Volkswagen.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with leading figures in the adtech space, such as Omar and Binh, to set a new benchmark in digital advertising accountability,” stated Michael Hahn, Founder and CEO of Vaudit. “For too long, the online advertising ecosystem has turned a blind eye to waste and fraud, with untracked clicks, overspending campaigns, and unverifiable billing.”

From Fraud Detection to Comprehensive Audit Intelligence

Initially introduced as BlokID, the Vaudit team swiftly recognized a lack of visibility and control affecting businesses regarding how their advertising budgets were allocated. The rebranding to Vaudit, short for “Virtual Audit,” reflects the company’s goal of providing robust auditing capabilities accessible not merely to elite enterprises but to every business.

“Vaudit tackles a crucial issue lurking within nearly every marketing budget,” remarked Omar Hamoui, Partner at Mucker Capital. “The complexities and opacities of digital advertising have reached new heights, and the Vaudit team is developing a game-changing solution that will infuse clarity and financial discipline into a domain sorely lacking accountability.”

Vaudit functions as an embedded auditing layer for a company’s digital media investments, constantly reconciling reported ad spend against actual billing from platforms such as Google and Meta. By consistently monitoring campaign activities and surfacing discrepancies in spending or delivery, Vaudit provides teams with structured reports that allow them to pinpoint irregularities, challenge dubious charges, and reclaim squandered media funds.

Vaudit Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

In further strengthening its leadership, Vaudit has appointed Piotr Korzeniowski as its new Chief Operating Officer. He will concentrate on both product development and operational scaling to align with the organization’s ambitions for upcoming growth. Korzeniowski has previously scaled Clearcode, an adtech software development firm, achieving a $10 million enterprise valuation prior to its successful exit. He also led Piwik PRO, a martech B2B SaaS company, to over $14 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), manifesting more than 50% compounded growth before its exit.

“While fraud prevention is a well-recognized category in adtech, a thorough analysis of the billing process—scrutinizing whether platforms deliver what they promise—has yet to be done,” said Korzeniowski. “Vaudit fills that gap. I’m eager to contribute to product development and business scaling based on the strong foundation crafted by Mike and the team.”

Looking Ahead

The recently secured seed financing will enable Vaudit to advance its agentic workflows, designed to automatically optimize ad spending by identifying wasteful expenditures and blocking fraudulent traffic on behalf of customers. Concurrently, the company is set to refine its AI models, enhancing accuracy in anomaly detection, improving fraud identification, and generating even more actionable insights for businesses.

“Every entity investing in digital advertising deserves absolute transparency concerning their expenditures and the ability to hold platforms accountable when charged for artificial traffic as opposed to real users,” commented Binh Tran, General Partner at AVV. “Vaudit is not merely innovating within adtech; it is establishing a new category known as audit intelligence. By instilling financial accountability in media purchases, Vaudit adds the much-needed trust element for today’s opaque digital advertising ecosystem.”

While the company has predominantly focused on auditing campaigns related to major platforms like Google and Meta, it has plans for expansion across a wider array of digital ad channels. This expansion will include mobile in-app traffic, which makes up a sizable segment of global ad spend, and will extend into emerging platforms such as TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and Amazon.
